Today we a have a very good news for Samsung lovers. Other than Sony cellular, no Android OEM makes a mini flagship with most of the specifications related to its relative. It therefore, comes as a no big surprise that the largest similarities between the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini and the Galaxy S5 are the fingerprint scanner, heart-rate monitor & the fake leather back. And they end now.
Alternatively, calling it the successor to last year’s Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini seems more appropriate. The front boasts a 4.5 inch screen with 720p resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
Down below the screen lies a 1.4 aGhz quad-core processor with 1.5 GB Ram memory and 16 GB expandable storage. At the back is the dumbed down 8 MP camera with 1080p video. And at the front camera 2.1 MP.
Connectivity options include 4G, NFC, IR Blaster & Bluetooth 4.0. On the software section, the smartphone comes with all the features (and gimmicks) found on the Samsung Galaxy S5, including the Ultra Power Saving Mode and S Health.
In its defense, it does arrive with IP67 certification, some thing which only debuted on the Samsung flagship this season.
