The Samsung Galaxy S5 and Galaxy S4 have already got their fair share of Android Lollipop love courtesy of some leaked video clips. However, the firmware for the devices haven’t leaked for the flashing pleasure of Samsung Galaxy S5 or Galaxy S4 owners.
Luckily for Samsung Galaxy S5 owners on Sprint, an Android Lollipop based TouchWiz firmware has built its way to the Online. The firmware is based on the latest code of Android 5.0 Lollipop (LRX21T) from Google. Basic performance like phone calls, text messaging and mobile data have already been verified to work on this firmware. It is actually, not yet known if other advanced features such as GPS, WiFi and sensors are broken or not.
Do note that flashing this develop will void the warranty of your Samsung Galaxy S5. You’ll also not be able to receive the final Android Lollipop OTA from Sprint, whenever the provider officially starts rolling out.
Flashing the firmware will need you to know your way all over ODIN. It’ll also wipe the handset of all your data, so make sure to generate backups ahead of you start the flashing method.
