If you are OnePlus 3 user and you need Unlock Bootloader so you are in right place because in this post we will show you how to Unlock Bootloader on OnePlus 3. Remember Unlocking the bootloader will completely wipe all your device data. Which includes apps, settings and even the contents of the internal SDcard. So first do take the full backup of your OnePlus 3 Android phone.
Preparation:
1. Download and install ADB drivers and Fastboot files on your Windows PC: Link
Note:- Install on Windows Partition e.g “C”
2. Now Enable USB Debugging mode just go to Settings => About phone => Tap on Build number 7 times. It’ill enables Developer options. Now go back to Settings => Developer Options => Enable USB debugging.
3. Enable OEM Unlocking Go to Settings > Developer options. Then enable the ‘OEM Unlocking’ option. Make sure that OEM unlocking option is enabled before you reboot. Sometimes, it might get disabled itself.
Note: If the OEM does not unlock so you will not able to unlock the bootloader of your Oneplus 3.
Steps to Unlock Bootloader on OnePlus 3:
Step No 1: First of all, Switch off your OnePlus 3 phone and boot into fastboot mode by press and hold Volume up + Power button. The phone will display “fastboot” text it means that you are successfully entered in fastboot mode.
Step No 2: Now go to the folder and open the ADB file where you installed. And open the Command prompt there. (shift + right click anywhere within that folder, select open command prompt here).
Step No 3: Now Connect your phone to the PC via USB data cable and enter the following command.
fastboot devices
This command is used for to check the connected devices. If you saw a serial number on the window screen, that means your phone is successfully connected.
Step No 4: Now Enter the following command to Unlock Bootloader:
fastboot oem unlock
Step No 5: Once the process finished just type the following command to reboot your Oneplus 3 smartphone.
fastboot reboot
Congrats! Now your Oneplus 3 Bootloader is unlocked.
