Samsung has been great this year with the high-grade devices and now it was proven good at delivering updates too. Earlier, January 2015 was the anticipated release date for the Galaxy S5 devices but Samsung was too eager to push the updates shortly. Poland was the first place to receive the Android Lollipop update on the SM-G900F devices while the rest of the Samsung Galaxy users were excited for their turn in the roulette wheel game. Eventually, Samsung decided to play at the home ground releasing updates for the Korean made. Now, Samsung Galaxy S4 GPe has received the OTA update of Android 5.0 and thanks to XDA senior member oldblue910 for mirroring the Update/Upgrade, who by far have successfully Mirrored all the available updates for Google Play Edition units.
Since this device is different compared to TouchWiz based devices from Samsung so the installation procedure will be different too, we won’t be using Odin tool this time & Samsung Kies won’t perform for this update too. There are two possible methods to Install this OTA on your Samsung device, either get the OTA update, or ensure that your device is running a Recovery, ensure it is a Custom One, otherwise wait for any Custom ROM based on this Lollipop ROM. Requirements:
1. Charge your Galaxy S4 above 60% battery level to avoid shutdowns during the process.
2. Enable USB Debugging
3. Install Required USB Drivers
4. Backup your phone’s apps and data as the precaution.

Steps to Update Samsung Galaxy S4 GPe to Android 5.0 Lollipop :
Step No 1:- Download the OTA,zip and Copy it to the root of your SD card.
Step No 2:- Boot your Galaxy S4 into Recovery: To do so, turn it off and wait for just a few seconds. Turn it on by pressing and holding Volume Down + Home + Power Key at the same time, Quickly release the Power button once you see the Galaxy Logo Blink 3 times.
Step No 3:- Navigate to Wipe Cache and do it.
Step No 4:- Navigate to Advance -> Wiper Devlik Cache and do it.
Step No 5:- Navigate to Wipe Data/Factory Reset and do it.
Step No 6:- Navigate to Install zip File -> Select Zip File and Select the OTA.zip.
Step No 7:- Make sure the installation and Wait for it to be over.
Step No 8:- Once it is over, do a Factory Reset again and Reboot the device.
Step No 9:- After a Successful reboot, your Galaxy S4 GPe will be running Android 5.0 Lollipop.
